The Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Full Stack Developer with hands-on experience building modern web applications using Django and React.
This is not an entry-level training role — we are looking for someone who already has commercial or strong project experience and can contribute confidently across both frontend and backend development.
You will work on real-world applications involving APIs, dashboards, integrations, business systems, and scalable web platforms.
Experience with FastAPI is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack web applications using Django and React
- Develop secure REST APIs and backend services
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Design efficient database queries and optimise application performance
- Identify and prevent common security vulnerabilities
- Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL databases and ORM optimisation
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Debug production issues and improve system reliability
- Contribute to CI/CD workflows and deployment processes
- Help improve engineering standards and development practices
Required Skills & Experience
- Backend
- Strong Python knowledge
- Experience with Django and Django REST Framework
- Understanding of API development and authentication
- Good knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Ability to write optimised queries and avoid unnecessary database overhead
- Frontend
- Experience with React
- Good understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with state management and component architecture
- HTML, CSS, responsive UI development
- General engineering skills including, Git/version control, clean code principles, awareness of common web security risks like SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, good communication etc.
