About Pystrap Technologies

Pystrap Technologies is a small but highly capable software engineering consultancy currently leading development for Artiq’s Swan Platform — a mission-critical business management and art curation system built on modern web technologies.

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join us in maintaining and evolving Swan. This role will support ongoing development and ensure business continuity and development.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the lead engineer to:

• Maintain and enhance the Swan platform (React + Django REST Framework).

• Contribute to system stability, feature development, and performance tuning.

• Support releases, deployments, and troubleshooting on Azure infrastructure.

• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge handover processes to ensure continuity.

This role will suit a developer who enjoys working across the stack, has good communication skills, and can operate independently in a small, delivery-focused environment.

Core Stack & Skills

Essential:

• Frontend: React (with Hooks), JavaScript/TypeScript, RESTful API integration

• Backend: Python, Django, Django REST Framework (DRF)

• Database: PostgreSQL

• Cloud Infrastructure: Azure (App Services, PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Blob Storage, Front Door)

• DevOps / CI/CD: GitHub Actions, familiarity with Netlify deployments

• Version Control: Git / GitHub workflows

Nice to Have:

• CMS / Web: WordPress or headless CMS experience

• Backend Alternatives: PHP (Laravel or similar frameworks)

• Cloud Alternatives: AWS, GCP

• Analytics & Reporting: Familiarity with building KPI dashboards

• ERP Integration: Experience interfacing with systems like Odoo or similar

Key Responsibilities

• Implement new features and bug fixes across React and Django components.

• Collaborate on technical planning, deployment schedules, and testing.

• Monitor performance and scalability across the system’s Azure infrastructure.

• Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure continuity.

• Provide occasional support cover or standby during lead engineer absences.
